
Art Makes Change – Photo Recap

The official gallery of VisionLA Fest is only open a few more days but the We Choose Art team is here to share an inside glimpse into the opening night of the Art Makes Change gala event.
This group exhibition included 70 local Los Angeles artists whose work strives to bring awareness to the climate crisis through various fine art mediums. The show featured over 200 pieces of fine art, sculpture, photography and site-specific installations that inspire, provoke, confront and bring to light the many issues plaguing our world today.

Art Makes Change was Co-curated by Dale Youngman and Lilli Muller, two long-time L.A.-based curators, the exhibit – split into four themes of EARTH, WATER, RECYCLE and AWARENESS – illustrate how art can create and promote change by focusing on environmental topics including sustainability, reducing emissions, the California drought, ocean pollution, endangered species, activism, etc., while also reminding us of the beauty of the planet we need to protect.
Thursday Dec. 10 6-10 PM marks the closing reception of Art Makes Change which will feature a performance art piece Nicolette Spear the founder of Body Fine Art body painting and performance Art by Artist Beth Elliot and others. Stop by and shop at the 10,000 sq. ft. gallery and gift shop located within the historic Bergamot station.
