Michelle Jane Lee
Location: Los Angeles
Occupation: Artist
Color plays a vital role in the world we live in. Color can sway thinking, change actions, and cause reactions. It can soothe your eyes, suppress your appetite, and even alter your feelings. Visually capturing the dynamics of vibrant color can be difficult but for Michelle Jane Lee vibrant color is her ally.
Raised in Korea and now living in Los Angeles, this prolific minimalist artist is peacefully exploding out into the art scene with her 2D and 3D colorful installations. Much of her art captures the human mind with honest bright colors, calming white crisp edges and mesmerizing grids that whisper positive thoughts into your soul.
Michelle Jane Lee’s latest body of work “ANONYMOUS” is currently on view at the Garboushian Gallery located in Beverly Hills and We Choose Art met up with the artist during her opening reception and asked:
Why do you choose art?
Michelle Jane Lee stated:
“I choose art because it’s the most human thing that exists in a world that seems to be less and less so. Art asks you to be genuine, honest, vulnerable, sensitive and passionate. Actually it demands that of you. And in doing so it also allows you to be all those terrifying and beautiful things at once, all the time and forever.
Art challenges you to find your truth then give’s you a chance to live your truth. What could be better than that?”
“ANONYMOUS” will be on view at the Garboushian Gallery until December 18th. For more information about the artist please visit her website at MichelleJaneLee.com
