Occupation: Fine Art Photographer / Self Portraitist
Alli Wynn is a fine art photographer based in Chicago. Her work embraces conceptual and intuitive ideas that cling to nature’s mysteries. Even though all of Alli’s work is stunning, her self-portrait photography should be noted as some of her best. Her raw and voyeuristic photography captures Alli in various natural spaces in which she, herself, has slid into her own dreamscape. Unable to break away from peering eyes, her portraits feel vulnerable and exhibit a sincere and emotional energy which give Alli’s portraits an aura of both familiarity and complexity.
When I asked Alli why she chose to be a photographer, she had this to say:
“I have always been an artist, and the camera has become the perfect medium for me to translate all of the dark and light inside my head. It’s very magical to capture a moment, and it feels as if I’m breaking the rules of the universe. With every photo I take, I can vividly remember all of the memories surrounding the time it was taken.”
Alli has been exhibited in various galleries, most notably is her recent participation in the Hidden Kingdoms exhibit at the Dream Factory Gallery in Germany. You may view the exhibit online.
